About co-curricular record

What is a co-curricular record (CCR)?

At Georgian, a co-curricular record (CCR) is an official document you create to enhance your resumé, career, academic and/or personal portfolios. It is official recognition of your participation in co-curricular activities that happened outside of the classroom, are confirmed and validated by a staff, faculty or college supporter and are then officially signed by the Vice President, Academic and Student Engagement and the Associate Vice President, Dean of Students.

You can use your CCR as support when you apply for jobs, co-ops, internships, scholarships, awards and future development experiences.

Why do I need one?

The CCR will provide you with an official document to endorse and communicate your college involvement and experiences to future employers. It is a tool to use when applying to further/future school applications, awards and bursaries and grants.

How will I use it?

Your CCR can be a valuable addition and enhancement to your resumé, career, academic and/or personal portfolios. You can also use your CCR when applying/interviewing for:

  • jobs
  • co-ops
  • internships
  • scholarships
  • awards
  • further schooling
  • future development experiences

How do I get started?

Getting started on your CCR is easy. Click on the get started button at the top of this page. Your login is the same information that you use to log in to a college computer.

Explore the database of opportunities to find activities that you have participated in.

Once your commitment to the activity is over, review the potential learning competencies and decide which ones you think you met.

Submit your CCR for review. The validator for that activity will look at the learning competencies you have selected and determine if they agree. If for some reason they don’t, they will connect with you to offer you the opportunity to prove why you feel they should.

Once your CCR has been approved, you are ready to print and use.

What can be included on a CCR?

An activity on the CCR is an experience over and above those recognized through academics. We are able to recognize activities that have happened in the current academic year.

We recognize that students aren’t only learning when they’re in class and want to provide official recognition for these activities. Each activity must be able to be validated by a college representative and fall within the defined learning objectives.

What if my activity is not available?

Suggestions to add new activities can be made by clicking on the suggest a new position button at the top of this page.

Once the fully completed form has been submitted, it will be reviewed and you will be notified within two weeks if the activity can be recognized on the CCR.
