Team Georgian puts the fun in Fun Run

Thank you to all those who joined Team Georgian on May 29 for the 2024 Rotary of Barrie Fun Run, an always much-anticipated community charitable event that raises funds for deserving causes. More than 120 Georgian alumni, faculty, staff, students, and their family and friends united to do a 5 km walk/run or 10 km run on the Barrie lakeshore.

This year, a special shout-out and congratulations go to three Team Georgian members including Macy Needs, student, Pre-Service Firefighter Education and Training, who posted the fastest time in the women’s category. Astrid Vig-Bergsma, Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Success, finished closely behind in second place. Mandeep Singh, Peer Mentor Lead and student in the Computer Science program at the Barrie Campus placed third in the men’s 10K run.

Thank you again to all who joined us for a meaningful evening supporting Rotary, and enjoying the sunshine, smiles, fun, and a side of fitness!
