Tracy Mitchell-Ashley

Biography

Tracy is a Faculty Developer in the Centre for Teaching and Learning where she supports faculty in their development from novice instructing to transformative teaching. She is interested in research related to faculty development and in forms of pedagogy that are high impact for students and their instructors. In particular, Tracy is interested in how we might graduate students who are not only amazing, Georgian certified practitioners in their fields but also great members of their communities. As a long term communications faculty, she is also extremely interested in how we communicate, connect with and engage students at college.


Tracy’s undergraduate degrees in English and psychology, her Master’s in Language / Rhetoric and Professional Writing and her PhD work to date in rhetoric and interdisciplinary studies, make her an ideal researcher to explore interdisciplinary approaches to teaching and learning.
