Mohammadreza Balouchestani
Biography
Dr. Mohammadreza Balouchestani is a professor within the Engineering and Environmental Technologies program at Georgian College. He received his PhD in Electrical and Computer engineering from Ryerson University. Dr. Balouchestani is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the province of Ontario, Canada. He was nominated for a Governor Gold Medal by the Electrical & Computer Engineering Department at the Ryerson University (Toronto, Canada) based on his performance in research, teaching, and innovation works during his PhD. program in 2013.
Dr. Balouchestani holds a number of patents in the area of electrical, computer, and mechatronics engineering and he has over 20 years of experience in the post-secondary educational environments with diverse industry experience. Before joining to Georgian, he was an assistant professor with the Purdue University (IN, USA), a visiting assistant professor with the University of New Haven (CT, USA), an NSERC postdoctoral research associate fellow and a lecturer with the Electrical and Biomedical Engineering Department at the Ryerson University (Toronto, Canada), Dean, Associate Dean (College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science), and Department Chair (Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering) with the IAUN University (Isfahan, Iran), a Senior Software Developer, a Senior Electrical Engineer, and a Senior Network Engineer.
