Majid OstadRahimi
Biography
Dr. Majid OstadRahimi has been with Georgian College after completing his post-doctoral studies at the University of Manitoba, Electromagnetic Imaging Laboratory (EIL). He is a professor in the Electrical Engineering Technology department, and a program co-ordinator in the Lakehead University/Georgian College dual-credential program. Majid’s areas of expertise include applied electromagnetics and electrical machines, with over 600 citations to his publications.
Majid has been involved with several applied research projects at Georgian, including advanced simulations and virtual prototyping studies by ANSYS tools, an anechoic chamber/EMC lab construction at the Barrie Campus, and several motor design projects. He was also an organizer of two technical seminars at Georgian in collaboration with leading industries.
