Isabelle Deschamps
Biography
Isabelle Deschamps has been a faculty member at Georgian College since June 2017. Before coming to Georgian, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Speech and Hearing Neuroscience Laboratory at CERVO, Brain and Research Centre in Quebec City, where her research program focused on the cognitive neuroscience of language. She received her PhD from McGill University in 2013 from the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders and holds a graduate diploma specialized in mental health. At Georgian, she has been able to combine her two loves: teaching and research. Through collaborations with other faculty members, Isabelle obtained two Research, Innovation, and Scholarship (RIS) grants focusing on students’ well-being and mental health.
