College isn’t all about being in the classroom. Studying at the Owen Sound Campus? Summer is one of the best times of the year to get out and explore your surroundings!
- Explore the art of one of Canada’s iconic painters at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery.
- Check out one of the many beautiful waterfalls in the area, like Inglis Falls or Jones Falls.
- Head over to Harrison Park and rent a boat or walk through the bird sanctuary.
- Take the Chi-Cheemaun ferry from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island.
- Grab your camera and get a birds-eye view of the area from one of many scenic lookouts along the Niagara Escarpment.
- Explore some of the local history by going on a walking tour.
- Pack a picnic and head down to Kelso Park Beach.
- Hike the Bruce Trail or any of the other great trails in the area.
- Check out Summerfolk Music and Crafts Festival at Kelso Beach Park in Owen Sound.
- Watch the fish climb up the Thornbury Fish Ladder.
