Dec. 14, 2016
Georgian’s Kitchen and Bath Design students continue to win awards.
“I’m very pleased to share that three students in our program have been awarded prizes by Blanco Canada in a competition that will see their work showcased at the Interior Design Show (IDS) in Toronto in January,” says Mary Dobson, Co-ordinator for the program.
All students in her Sustainable Materials and Finishes for Kitchen and Bath Design class had the chance to present their design, and the quality of their work made it a tough job for the judges.
First place was awarded to Irene Tiuftiaieva who won $1,000 towards her tuition. Irene will also have a section of her project recreated in the Blanco Canada exhibit booth at IDS 2017. In addition, she receives one night’s accommodation in Toronto to attend the Gala Night on Jan. 19. The main prize award ceremony takes place at 9 p.m. at Blanco’s booth.
Second prize went to Dean Suessmann who received a $300 cheque towards his tuition. Dean also gets a ticket to attend the IDS Gala Night. Laurel Zou placed third and won a $200 cheque towards tuition as well as a ticket to the gala.
All the students in the class will receive a ticket to attend IDS 2017. In addition, everyone’s presentation will be on display via multimedia in the Blanco Canada exhibit booth.
