Georgian Dental students raise money for oral health care in Walk for Smiles

Georgian College Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting students, faculty and staff laced up this week for the Walk for Smiles walkathon. The second annual event was a celebration of Oral Health Month. The students and staff collected pledges and completed a five-kilometre walk to raise awareness for oral health and to collect funds to make donations to our community partners – groups within the community who have difficulty accessing oral health care. They raised $2,800.
