Self care around the world

July 24 is International Self-care Day. This day was established in 2011 to raise awareness of the importance of self care and to encourage people to develop knowledge and skills to be active participants in their own well-being.

College can be a wonderful, new and exciting experience, but it can also bring with it added stressors for you to manage.

To help combat stress, it’s important to make sure that you’re taking care of yourself first. One of the best ways to do this is through the practice of self care.

At Georgian, we refer to self care as taking action to improve one’s own physical, emotional, mental and/or spiritual well-being.

Why not mark International Self-care Day by learning how self care is practiced around the world. Take a look at our interactive map and try expanding your knowledge by using some of the ideas and tips provided!
