Lakehead-Georgian offering entrance awards for 2019

Lakehead-Georgian
currently offers four innovative degree-diploma programs:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) Degree with Electrical Engineering Technology Advanced Diploma: Central Ontario’s only engineering program provides you with a solid foundation across all areas of electrical engineering, preparing you for a wide range of career opportunities.
- Honours Bachelor of Arts and Science – Environmental Sustainability (Specialization in Ecosystem Management) Degree with Environmental Technician Diploma: Learn to understand and monitor complex environmental systems. Graduate with advanced lab and field skills that will allow you to meet and adapt to the growing demands of this sector.
- Honours Bachelor of Science – Applied Life Sciences (Specialization in Biomedical Techniques) Degree with Biotechnology-Health Diploma: Prepare for a career in biotechnology, forensics, diagnostic laboratories, and the health sector. You’ll explore diverse topics in order to develop critical thinking skills with respect to modern life science.
- Honours Bachelor of Science in Computer Science Degree with Computer Programmer Diploma: Think big as you explore the world of computer science while engaging in a focused program stream. Master the technology that is rapidly revolutionizing our world.
All accepted students (regardless of their grades) going into year one of these four-year programs next fall (2019) are eligible to receive an entrance award. Domestic students can receive a $4,000 Lakehead-Georgian Entrance Award, which can be combined with Lakehead’s entrance scholarships (amounts vary based on academic merit) to a maximum of free tuition. International students are also eligible for entrance awards and entrance scholarships.
All entrance awards and scholarships are automatically applied to students’ tuition costs. Students don’t need to fill out a form to receive them! All they need to do is apply at the Ontario Universities Application Centre by the Jan. 16 deadline.
