Innovation Showcase to celebrate student work

Male Georgian student sits behind a robot car he made for Innovation ShowcaseGeorgian’s Centre for Applied Research and Innovation (CARI) is hosting its annual Innovation Showcase – a boot camp for students from the Technology and Visual Arts academic areas who want to present their ideas, projects and portfolios – on Thursday, Dec. 10. It takes place in the Helen and Arch Brown Centre for Visual Arts at the Barrie Campus from 3 to 7 p.m.

Student projects will focus on technology, innovation and entrepreneurship and prizes will be presented in the following categories:

  • Creativity
  • People’s Choice (voted on by attendees)
  • Technical complexity
  • The Henry Bernick Entrepreneurship Award of Entrepreneurship

The showcase opens at 3 p.m. with remarks and award presentation at 6:30 p.m.

The event is open to the public but registration is required – sign up by email at hbec@georgiancollege.ca or at georgianinnovation.eventbrite.ca.
