Georgian students leaf their mark with return of Sweet Maple Festival

Just in time for spring, the Sweet Maple Festival is back for its second year at Georgian College.

Organized by students in Georgian’s Event Management program, this family-friendly event takes place on Saturday, April 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Barrie Campus and promises an exciting – and delicious – lineup of activities, food and entertainment.

The Sweet Maple Festival is also a finalist for a 2025 Canadian Event Award in the Best Event By an Academic Institution category.

The Sweet Maple Festival is truly a legacy event here at Georgian. The event was conceived of by last year’s Event Management students, and this year’s class has taken that strong model and have worked to make it even better! We can’t wait to welcome the community back for this exciting event.
