David Bell appointed new Associate Vice President, Advancement and Alumni Relations

Barrie resident David Bell has been appointed Georgian’s new Associate Vice President, Advancement and Alumni Relations. He starts his new role at the college on June 3.

David brings to Georgian more than 17 years experience and expertise in higher education advancement.

He was previously Executive Director, Development and Alumni Relations, at the Schulich School of Business, York University.

Prior to joining York in 2009, he worked in university advancement at Nipissing University and the University of Windsor before spending two years focused on major gifts and research at the Royal Ontario Museum.

David holds two degrees, including an Honours Bachelor of Arts from Nipissing University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Windsor.

He is a licensed barrister and solicitor. David practised environmental law and civil litigation prior to pursuing his career in advancement.
