Carpentry courses designed to appeal to your inner do-it-yourself guru offered this fall at Muskoka Campus
Sept. 23, 2015
There is no limit to what you can accomplish with your do-it-yourself projects. There are a series of carpentry courses being offered this fall and winter through Part-time Studies at the Muskoka Campus to help support your inner DIY guru.
The 7,000-square-foot state-of-the-art carpentry shop at the campus is the ideal learning environment for those interested in doing home improvement projects.
“With DIY programs a popular fixture these days on television, our carpentry courses are a natural fit for this audience,” says Bonnie DeWitt, Muskoka Campus Manager.
Participants can learn how to build their own furniture, frame walls and master the more advanced practical skills of roofing techniques.
The first course in the series, “Learn to Build your Own Furniture” begins Sept. 26. The other courses are:
- Building Walls – Studs to Drywall (Oct. 24 and 25)
- Roof Framing – Introduction (Nov. 7, 14, 21 and 28)
- Roof Framing – Advanced (Jan. 16, 23, 30 and Feb. 6)
