The EAP program focuses on building English language skills, as well as preparing students to study in a postsecondary program. Each level in the program is comprised of three core courses – Speaking, Listening and Pronunciation, Reading and Vocabulary and Writing and Grammar – and one elective course, which varies from semester to semester).
The EAP program is an eight-level, intensive full-time program. The levels are split into non-credit and credit programming.
General English as a Second Language (ESLG)
Levels 1 to 4: Non-credit programming
This program helps you prepare for success in general English. You will participate in introductory level English language courses in the skill areas of reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary, while also focusing on essential skills for success. Language learning is facilitated through classroom and technology-assisted learning, and an exploration of Canadian and intercultural contexts through everyday situations. You will learn through group work, discussions, and experiential learning outside the classroom.

Language learning is facilitated through interactive activities, discussions, use of multimedia materials, in-class instruction and experiential learning outside the classroom, as well as an exploration of personal, abstract and global topics.
