Course description

This course is designed to provide a theoretical framework for examining corporate and white collar criminal behaviour, best practices and strategic management principles surrounding the investigations of such crimes. Throughout the course, students consider and debate numerous topics including the definition of white-collar crime, the use of economic and criminal sanctions to deter the misconduct of white collar criminal offenders, and explore other possible means of preventing the commission of white collar crimes. In addition, students in this course examine the role of enforcement officials and the challenges affecting the justice system's response to white collar crime.
