Course description
In this hands-on course, students learn how to design and develop fully functioning websites and blogs, using a Content Management System (CMS) that can be easily managed and updated by businesses and organizations. Using a web-hosting service, students install an industry-standard CMS, and research and install themes and plugins that allow for customization of a site’s appearance and greater functionality. Students also learn how to troubleshoot, backup, and secure a CMS-based website.

Prerequisites
Post Secondary level COMP 1076 Web Fundamentals Minimum Grade of 50Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
