Course description

In this course, students are introduced to statistical methods and tools used in the industry to support the resolution of engineering and manufacturing problems. The role and importance of statistical methods are emphasized with a focus placed on the collecting, organization and presentation of data; probability theory and normal distribution; statistical inference techniques; quality control charts for variable and attribute data; process capability studies and analysis; and Cause and Effect diagrams and Pareto Analysis.
