Course description
Students explore their personal values toward sexuality and discuss the responsibility of the developmental services worker to support people with developmental disabilities in building meaningful social and sexual relationships. Students learn about social skill development techniques, sexual rights, vulnerability, sexual counselling models and study the Ethics of Touch for the helping professions. Students learn to recognize, prevent, report and support individuals in cases of alleged abuse.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
