Social Psychology

Course description

In this course, students develop a working knowledge of the central theories and everyday applications of social psychology. Students explore how social environments influence our view of self, and our perceptions of others. Using classic and current research students discuss topics such as interpersonal attraction, social cognition, group dynamics, discrimination, aggression and prosocial behaviour. As a result, students gain a greater understanding of how they and others think, feel, and behave across diverse social contexts.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
