Course description

This course is a continuation of Real Estate Law 1. Students examine the procedural steps involved in a standard residential real estate transaction, from receipt of the Agreement of Purchase and Sale to its completion. Using appropriate software, students draft and review typical documents, correspondence and forms used in the purchase and financing of residential real estate, including condominiums and recreational property. Ethical issues relating to real estate law are examined.

Post Secondary level LAWS 2044 Real Estate Law 1 Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level LAWS 2056 Real Estate Procedures (ODE) Minimum Grade of 50

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
