Physical Security Planning

Course description
Students apply knowledge of basic security procedures to a variety of environments within the public and private domain. They learn to identify vulnerabilities, assess threats, conduct risk assessments, and apply mitigation strategies to address security concerns and protect assets. Students will examine the principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) and look at issues involving work place violence. Various methods for developing and disseminating security awareness and education training are explored.
