Course description
This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to the sales process and is intended to help students to develop their selling, communication, and negotiation skills in order to be successful in a sales career. Topics presented include: the steps in the selling process, ethical issues in selling, the importance of the sales function, and integrating technology in the sales process. Students will also learn how to develop negotiation skills, establish successful customer relationships, develop winning communication skills in a variety of presentation situations.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
