Course description

In this course, students investigate modelmaking, wax carving, lost wax and alternate casting techniques, and investment burnout. They also learn to create finished, cast jewellery pieces.

Post Secondary level JEWL 1001 Jewellery Fabrication 1 Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level JEWL 1002 Jewellery Studio Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level JEWL 1010 Metal Finishing Minimum Grade of 50

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
