Course description

Students in this course examine various perspectives on leadership in the golf industry including leadership styles, the role of leaders, the distinction between leadership and management, the decision-making process, and ethical behavior in leading teams. A number of golf industry leaders join this course as guest speakers and discuss the importance that leadership plays in their respective roles. Students explore their own personal leadership style and develop a personal leadership development plan through a series of self-assessments.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
