Course description
Building on Current Issues in Business - Seminar 1, students select, strategically analyze, and discuss current events in business. They conduct research by examining relevant and reputable business periodicals and journals. Through deeper analysis and thorough discussion, students assess the business impact of the events in question, as well as the modifications needed to capitalize on emerging opportunities or to mitigate potential threats. Students analyze newsworthy events from the national and global business environments, and ultimately gain a greater understanding of the impact that external events can have on business performance and the techniques used to respond to them.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
