Course description

Students examine a variety of issues and trends presently influencing the therapeutic recreation field. Through lectures, guest speakers and seminars, students explore the professionalization of the field, community development, accessibility, entrepreneurship, legislation and other current professional issues. Students are provided with an opportunity to reflect upon the trends presently affecting this rapidly evolving profession and gain an understanding of how these trends can affect their role, employment and performance in the Recreation Therapy profession.

Post Graduate level TREC 1003 Foundations of RT Minimum Grade of 60

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
