Intro to Private Investigation

Course description
Students review the responsibilities and occupational tasks of the private investigator with an emphasis on investigative techniques, the use of industry related equipment, ethical decision-making and self-management skills. Students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to work safely and effectively while complying with regulations governing the private investigation industry. This course has been designed in accordance with the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services provincially approved training curriculum for private investigators.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
