Course description
Students are introduced to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and technologies associated with the field of complex communication needs. They examine characteristics of various AAC systems and explore communication strategies related to the needs of the users. Students learn a variety of assistive technologies and how they are used to support people with complex communication needs.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
