Course description
Students explore the legal system, the structure of government and the court structure in Canada. Students learn how laws are created and implemented through an examination of the primary sources of law. The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms is discussed and students are introduced to fundamental legal terminology.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
