Course description

Students explore legal requirements that arise during the formation and operation of a small business with special emphasis on procedures and government documentation necessary to start up and maintain a small business in Ontario. Major topics include business structure, contract law, tort law, employment law, consumer protection, insurance law, intellectual property, privacy compliance, and related municipal, provincial and federal legislation.
