Dual Diagnosis

Course description
Students examine mental health disabilities and developmental disabilities from current, historical and diverse perspectives and develop the skills required to support people who have a dual diagnosis. Using a biopsychosocial approach, students study the nature of dual diagnosis, and investigate the factors that increase the risk of mental illness for people with developmental disabilities, as well as the diagnostic complexities.
