COMP 1020


Course description

In this hands-on course, students learn to use industry-standard page layout software to combine text, graphics, and images to create both single and multiple page layouts for use in print and online. Emphasis is placed on increasing efficient by customizing preferences, and using master pages, style sheets, and keyboard shortcuts. Students learn the differences between a variety of file formats and how to use them correctly to produce well organized documents that will print, or display online, correctly.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
