Course description

Students examine the global threat of cybercrime and cyber security basics. The worldwide reliance on technology has created vulnerabilities that require a security response. Students review current trends and issues related to computer, network and web security, and the investigative and technical skills required by security officers to address these threats.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
