Course description

This course explores how society defines crime, criminal behaviour, and deviance. Using specific cases, students explore and analyze the theories behind acts of crime and society's response to criminal acts. The role of the criminal justice system is also considered

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
