Course description
An introductory study of the methods, and to a lesser extent materials, commonly used in Civil Engineering construction. Students address various equipment and their applications in the field. Efficiency and effectiveness are emphasized along with effective logistical management of a site. This course includes a significant Health and Safety component. Students use basic math application to solve construction problems.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
