Course description
Students refine and consolidate advanced helping skills while demonstrating the communication skills required as a member of a clinical team. Students consolidate helping and feedback skills and concentrate on developing appropriate service plans with clients that build on individual and community strengths, and resources to meet identified needs. Students also focus on assessment, intervention, referrals, trauma-informed practice, mindfulness practice, crisis intervention and ethical practice.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
