This course provides a current and factual explanation of why and how chemicals of abuse work, including the effects on the body and consciousness of the user. In addition, assessment, medical treatment processes and pharmacological intervention strategies are examined

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
