Course description

In this course, the Registered Practical Nurse’s (RPN) knowledge of the nursing process, holistic nursing care within the interprofessional health care team and biological and social sciences theory is expanded upon. RPNs review care strategies that address clients' needs when faced with a chronic physical or mental health challenge. Concepts and principles of quality care pertaining to practice situations, the impact of chronic diseases and risk for societal health and wellness are also examined. A student must attain a minimum of 60% or a letter grade of P (Pass) or S (Satisfactory) in this course.
