Carpentry Fundamentals
CART 1011
Students examine components that make up a construction project, with a priority on standard safety procedures. They are introduced to the laws and regulations that govern construction within Ontario. Classroom topics include measurement, layout, assembly, and building code applications for the residential and renovation sectors. Students research, analyze and select appropriate materials for various construction applications.

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
