Course description

Using a hands-on approach, students develop extensive knowledge in solving problems and managing data using Microsoft Excel. Building on the topics studied in Microcomputer Applications, students explore advanced topics in MS Excel and learn how to create and analyze spreadsheets using Pivot Tables and Charts. Students also learn many of Excel’s advanced functions, including logical and conditional, lookup and reference, financial, date and time, and how to use custom and database functions. Students acquire knowledge of how to protect and share their workbooks.

Post Secondary level COMP 1003 Microcomputer Applications Minimum Grade of 50
or Post Secondary level COMP 1065 Intro to Computers 2 (ODE) Minimum Grade of 50

Students registering for credit courses for the first time must declare a program at the point of registration. Declaring a program does not necessarily mean students must complete a program, individual courses may be taken for skill improvement and upgrading.
