Course description

In this studio course, students are introduced to the fundamentals of CAD (computer-aided design) software to digitally sculpt a 3D model. Students learn fundamentals of 3D printing so they understand the components, system and function of the 3D printer hardware, software, and materials. To scale and customize their model to produce a 3D print of their model, students are introduced to CAM (computer aided manufacturing) software.
