David Visentin, a third-year Civil Engineering Technology  student, is recognized as the 2024 Co-op Student of the Year. David’s diverse career background and desire to find a career that fueled his passions led him to Georgian.

Here’s a look back at some of our favourite good news stories from throughout 2023.

As a Georgian student, you have the opportunity to practise what you learn in the classroom in real-world environments through work-integrated learning experiences (WIL). WIL experiences help you build confidence and the skills you need to succeed in your placements and post-graduation.

Did you know that almost all Georgian programs offer formal work-integrated learning experiences? Sasha Pratt, a recent Veterinary Technician grad, was able to secure her dream job thanks to her clinical placement.

Georgian is offering a new bursary for students pursuing unpaid work-integrated learning experiences that will cover traditionally unpaid WIL experiences.

David Boldyrev, a second-year Computer Programming student is recognized as the 2023 Co-op Student of the Year. David’s passion for computers and programming is driven by his desire to upgrade his knowledge and skills to progress in a dynamic field.
