Find out how to pay your tuition and fees at Georgian College and the payment deadlines for upcoming semesters.
Understand your fees
Deposit
You are required to pay a tuition deposit once per academic year. Paying your deposit secures your seat in your program and makes you eligible to register for classes*.
*Starting fall 2021, international students must pay full tuition fees before registration.
Tuition
Tuition covers the fees representing your contribution towards the operating and capital costs of the academic program delivery and general overhead for the institution. Tuition is the cost associated with delivering programs to students. Types of tuition you may see in your Banner account balance include:
- FT Tuition: Indicates full-time tuition amount
- PT Tuition: Indicates part-time tuition amount
- OL Tuition: Indicates overload exceeding full-time status; cost per course fees apply
Ancillary fees
Ancillary fees are fees charged over and above the cost of tuition, which support services and activities distinct from academic programming for the institution.
Pay your tuition deposit
You are required to pay a non-refundable tuition deposit once per academic year. The fall semester is the start of a new academic year. Students in subsequent terms are not required to pay a deposit, though you must reserve your seat in Banner.
- Starting a new program at Georgian? A deposit is required for your first academic semester of classes. If you change to a different program, you are also required to pay a deposit for your first semester of the new program regardless of if you have paid a deposit in a previous term or not.
- Are you a continuing student? A deposit is required for your first academic semester of classes in the new academic year.
If your deposit payment is not received by the deadline, your place in the program may be forfeited or given to another student on the waiting list. Georgian reserves the right to refuse payments made after the deadline if the program is full.

Apply for OSAP at least eight weeks prior to the start of your academic year to ensure payments are received prior to the deadline. Funds must be received from OSAP by the eleventh day of the term. A $150 late fee will be added to domestic students’ accounts for any balance outstanding beyond the eleventh day.
Please note, if you select the “don’t pay fees on my behalf” box on your OSAP application, it is your responsibility to pay your tuition by the eleventh day of the term. Special consideration may be given to those who have completed all OSAP documentation at least eight weeks prior to the term start and for reasons beyond their control if they do not receive their funding by day 11.
Sponsorships
A student can be sponsored by a third-party such as a government agency, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), employer or any organization. Sponsors are when a third-party agrees to pay all or part of the student’s tuition and related fees directly to Georgian. This type of financial support allows students to focus on their studies without the immediate burden of covering their educational expenses.
Sponsors
Sponsors are required to provide the following information for each sponsored student prior to the fee deadline. Information includes:
- student name, student number, student email address and program
- explanation of the sponsorship
- amount sponsored
- how and when fees will be paid to Georgian
- duration of the sponsorship
Sponsors can upload their supporting documents through the sponsorship form linked below. Invoices will issued after day 10 of the semester.
Students
Students are responsible for providing their sponsors with:
- student name, student number, student email address and program
- their tuition fee amount . You can find this information on the Tuition and ancillary fees page.
- completing a signed Consent to release and exchange information form.
Your student account will be updated to reflect the sponsorship. You’ll be able to register for courses without delay. Late fees will not apply, as long as the sponsor is covering your full fees. If your fees are only partially covered by your sponsor, you are responsible for paying the remaining amount owing.
Make sure your sponsor has submitted the form prior to the fee deadline to ensure a smooth registration process.
