McDonald’s employees to benefit from educational opportunities through Ontario colleges partnership.
About the partnership
Ontario colleges, including Georgian, have partnered with McDonald’s Canada to offer educational opportunities for McDonald’s employees to pursue postsecondary education in business programs at colleges throughout Ontario.
Upon completion of McDonald’s Management Development program Level 2, successful applicants to Georgian’s Business diploma or Business (co-op) diploma can complete a two-year Ontario college diploma in as little as one year!
Our flexible program is offered full-time, part-time, in-class or online.
How does it work?
Georgian will grant recognition for first-year business credit to McDonald’s second assistant managers who have completed the McDonald’s Management Development program Level 2 (MDP), with the following additional requirements to complete Georgian’s Business diploma or Business (co-op) diploma:
- Math assessment or course MATH1002
- Communications assessment or course COMM1016
- General education elective course (course offerings vary each term)
What do I need to do?
Step one
Apply to Georgian’s Business or Business (co-op) diploma program, choosing the advanced standing application option.
Step two
After we have received your application, we’ll send you a letter requesting postsecondary transcripts and course outlines. You will need to provide the following:
- McDonald’s Canada Training Verification form (signed by McDonald’s manager
training must have been completed within three years of the application) - Any additional postsecondary transcripts you may have
