The Georgian College Students’ Association (GCSA) is your student voice on campus. Driven by students, elected by the student body, and supported by staff, GCSA is dedicated to enhancing student life. Your student activity fee is administered by GCSA and includes social, recreational, cultural, leisure, clubs, orientation, student communications, and student government operations.

Georgian FoodLocker
We run an emergency on-campus food bank for students in need, providing non-perishable food and hygiene items.

Clubs
Do you have a passion or interest you want to share with others? Think about joining a club – or create a club if it doesn’t already exist!
Our full scope of services include:
- ONEcard: ONEcard is the official Georgian identification card. Features extend far beyond a simple ID. It’s your student card, library card, athletic centre card, and now a convenient payment method for select vendors on-campus and off-campus – all in one!
- Student advocacy: Student representatives available to all students who need help or advice with any part of their college experience. The GCSA votes on all ancillary fee increases based on what students ask for.
- Student planner: Free student planner for all students to keep track of classes, assignments, activities and help with time management, organization and learning strategies.
- Clubs and associations: A variety of clubs available for students to join or start up their own.
- The Last Class Lounge: Kick back, relax and hang out with friends in the Last Class Lounge, your go-to spot for casual vibes and good company.
- Transition programs: Learn about Georgian’s resources and services.
- Student jobs: Executives, directors, SWAT, team leaders, student managers, security, athletic staff, score keepers and more.
- Activities: Free food, giveaways, mini games, bingo and health breaks.
- Events: Concerts, hypnotists, Georgian Idol, pub nights, movie nights, road trips, speakers and conferences.
- Athletics and Fitness Centre: Your gym membership is included in your student activity fee. Enjoy varsity sports, intramurals, tournaments, fitness centres, ping pong, rock climbing and fitness classes.
- Health and dental insurance: Student coverage for vision, dental and prescription drugs. Opt-out available if you are covered elsewhere. Opt-in available for family members.
- Georgian FoodLocker: Operated by the GCSA, the Georgian Food Locker is a confidential, emergency on-campus food bank for Georgian College students in need.

The Georgian College Students’ Association (GCSA) recognizes those who get involved and make our school a better place. Every year, the GCSA sponsors awards to deserving students.
Student Leadership Award #25314
Presented to students who have demonstrated leadership skills, are in good academic standing, and have completed at least one successful academic semester. Applicants must also demonstrate one of the following:
- Are involved in campus life – through GCSA, varsity, SWAT, orientation or extracurricular activities
- Represents Georgian College or have contributed to or enhanced student life
- How they meet the criteria in their cover letter
- That they are a permanent resident of Ontario and have financial need
Award value is $1,000.

You can also apply for the Brian Tamblyn Scholarship, which is sponsored by the GCSA.

Constitution
The GCSA Constitution is the document put together by the Students’ Executive Council (the Barrie, Orillia and Owen Sound Georgian College Students’ Association) to provide guidelines for all student governance at Georgian College.
Bylaws
Bylaws govern the Barrie Campus GCSA – each Georgian campus has specific bylaws outlining the GCSA’s job description, as well as policies and procedures.
Minutes
The GCSA holds weekly meetings during the fall and winter semesters to discuss student affairs; these meetings are open to anyone who wishes to sit in.

Orillia
The Georgian College Students’ Association (GCSA) is the driving force behind student life at the Orillia Campus. There are six executive members who work together to make your time here as a student as awesome as possible!

Owen Sound
The Georgian College Students’ Association (GCSA) is the enthusiastic student government for student life at the Owen Sound Campus. Six executives work together to ensure your student career is as enjoyable and fun-filled as possible. Georgian College acknowledges that all campuses are situated on the traditional land of the Anishnaabeg people.
The Anishnaabeg include the Odawa, Ojibwe and Pottawatomi nations, collectively known as the Three Fires Confederacy.
